EUROPEAN BEEKEEPING ASSOCIATION

It is with great pleasure that we inform you that Germany is the organizer of Apimondia in 2029, in the city of Leipzig. The EBA has supported Germany’s candidacy and we congratulate it on behalf of all members and the EBA leadership.

Round table on beekeeping in the EU, organized by Robert Chlebo, President of the European Commission at Apimondia. The EBA representative was Giovanni Formato, who presented the work and objectives of the EBA.  

At the roundtable on beekeeping in Europe outside the EU, EBA was represented by Aslı Özdemir Özkırım. Her message was that bees know no borders, so the cooperation of all beekeepers is essential.  

The President of the EBA is at the World Congress in Denmark met with Noa Simon from Bee life and Ellmann Torsten president of Deutscher Imkerbund e.V. and vice president of Copa Cogeca.  

Apimondia unanimously confirmed the proposal of Slovenia, represented by Tanja Arih Korošec.  

Mr. Petar Kozmus is the Vice-President of Apimondia for the third time, which confirms his hard work and dedication. EBA supported the election of Mr. Petar Kozmus as Vice-President of Apimondia. Congratulations on behalf of EBA!!!  

EBA has officially become a member of the Apimondia World Organization. We thank all the delegates of the Apimondia Assembly and the Apimondia leadership for their comprehensive support.  

A meeting of two giants from the world of beekeeping at a stand that captivated with its originality. The meeting took place at the stand of the Beekeepers’ Association of Slovenia and EBA at the Apimondia World Congress in Denmark in 2025. We thank the President of Apimondia for his cordial visit.
