EBA President Boštjan Noč received the Medal of Trust of the Municipality of Lukovica, an award from Mayor Olga Vrankar.  

Apimondia President Jeff Pettis resigned today. Peter Kozmus becomes the acting president of Apimondia. The Beekeeping Association Slovenia and EBA will provide full support to Peter Kozmus within their respective jurisdictions.  

EBA President Mr. Boštjan Noč met with Ms. Mojca Korošec and Mr. Dražen Lušić at Apimondia in Denmark. The topic of the meeting was finding a solution to the problem of fake honey on the market.  

We discussed the upgrade of the B -Thenet project from 2026 onwards. It is a big project and a big role for EBA, a project exclusively for beekeepers … we want a concrete transfer of practical knowledge to beekeepers …  

It is with great pleasure that we inform you that Germany is the organizer of Apimondia in 2029, in the city of Leipzig. The EBA has supported Germany’s candidacy and we congratulate it on behalf of all members and the EBA leadership.  

The innovative experimental bee cage, “BeeLab Testing Cage”, developed by the Institute of Animal Husbandry and Dr. Slobodan Dolashevic, was awarded the Bronze Medal at the World Beekeeping Awards (WBA) during the Apimondia 2025 World Beekeeping Congress and Exhibition in Copenhagen, Denmark. Round table on beekeeping in the EU, organized by Robert Chlebo, President of the European Commission at Apimondia. The EBA representative was Giovanni Formato, who presented the work and objectives of the EBA.  

At the roundtable on beekeeping in Europe outside the EU, EBA was represented by Aslı Özdemir Özkırım. Her message was that bees know no borders, so the cooperation of all beekeepers is essential.
