The European Beekeeping Association (EBA), representing over 420,000
beekeepers across 31 European countries, is pleased to express its
support for the 7th International Symposium on Bee Products and Annual
Meeting of the International Honey Commission (IHC), taking place in
Poreč, Croatia, March 26–29, 2026.
EBA will actively participate in the symposium, with President Boštjan
Noč attending in person and engaging in the promotional activities of
the event.
The symposium is a key international platform bringing together
experts, scientists, researchers, and stakeholders in apiculture and
bee products. It plays a vital role in sharing scientific knowledge,
promoting innovation, and fostering collaboration across the sector.
Participants will discuss a wide range of topics, including honey,
propolis, bee pollen, beeswax, royal jelly, bee venom, authentication,
traceability, quality, safety, and sustainability, as well as
regulatory developments and emerging challenges in the European and
global honey market.
EBA also encourages all members of its Scientific Committees to
contribute and participate at a professional level. Furthermore, EBA
proposes that regional Ministers of Agriculture be invited to the
symposium to hold a roundtable discussion on eliminating counterfeit
honey from the European market.
To ensure broader accessibility, EBA suggests organizing a hybrid
format, allowing participation via video conferencing, so that
beekeepers across Europe can also attend and benefit from the
symposium.
We look forward to fruitful collaboration and a successful IHC Symposium 2026.
