The European Beekeeping Association was yesterday invited to join WATSON, a Horizon Europe-funded project aimed at combating fraud in the food supply chain.
The project brings together 47 partners from across Europe to develop a comprehensive traceability framework based on data solutions and risk assessment tools, with the aim of increasing food safety, transparency and consumer trust. One of the project’s priorities is to strengthen cooperation with different stakeholders in the food chain – from producers, processors, distributors and traders to consumers, researchers and control authorities. https://watsonproject.eu
