Today, we received several notifications from EBA members that there were emails sent to EBA members requesting payment for EBA from two e-mail addresses: board@gmail.com and president.executives.2024@gmail.com and addresses in the name of Mr. Boštjan Noč.
We want to deny those emails and inform you to block all emails that come to you with suspicious content.
This is a form of fraudulent activity, false representation
An example of such an email is:
Dear Fabian,
It’s a pleasure to read from you again and sorry to bother you, we have an urgent payment for a Vendor who is helping the association on a project. Please would you be able to make an online bank transfer or process a wire transfer to the Vendor today and get reimbursed by Friday? I will be happy if you can help, let me know so I can send you the details/instructions.
