The European Beekeeping Association (EBA) has officially invited
Members of the European Parliament to support its new European
initiative — “Europeans Buy Local, European!”
With this campaign, EBA aims to raise awareness across Europe about
the essential importance of beekeeping and agriculture for the
environment, biodiversity, and food security.
In the letter sent to all Members of the European Parliament, EBA
President Boštjan Noč called for “brave and visionary” MEPs who are
ready to join forces in launching this united promotional campaign.
“We are aware that this will be challenging, initially described as
impossible, but let’s be brave and visionary — without courage there
are no results,” wrote President Noč.
The initiative seeks to inspire a Europe-wide movement encouraging
citizens to buy locally produced European honey and agricultural
products, strengthening rural economies and supporting sustainable
development across the continent.
