“As the President of the EBA, I am appalled by the news from Serbia. The news that a honey control laboratory was robbed into is very bad news for all of Europe, which is fighting against counterfeit honey on the market. As the President of the EBA, I support all the efforts of the President of the SPOS, Rodoljub Živadinović, in the fight against counterfeit honey that is destroying beekeeping across Europe.
Beekeepers in Europe must unite even more and demand a faster solution to this problem from the EU leadership. This will be one of the main topics of the meeting of the ČZS and EBA leaders with the Commissioner for Agriculture Hansen on May 24, 2025 in Slovenia.
