Subject: Request for clarification regarding subsidies per beehive

I am writing to you regarding recent information and media reports concerning support measures for the beekeeping sector.
We have recently noted reports regarding the non-approval by the European Commission of a Romanian national aid scheme aimed at providing €15 per bee colony.
To avoid any misunderstanding among beekeepers and ensure complete transparency, we would be grateful if you could kindly clarify the following points:
1. Is the recently rejected Romanian scheme separate from the per-hive/colony support measure mentioned in your official letter as taking effect from January 2026? (Ref. Ares (2026)2074780-24/02/2026)
2. Could you please clarify in detail how Member States can access and implement this support framework in practice, and what specific requirements must be met for approval?
