The Executive Board of the European Beekeeping Association (EBA) held
its online meeting on September 2, 2025, starting at 20:00 (CET).
The agenda of the meeting covered the following key topics:
Review of EBA’s work in 2025 so far;
Apimondia and EBA participation;
Report on the work of EBA Scientific Committees;
Urgent EBA activities until the end of the year.
During the meeting, important decisions were adopted for the future
work of the Association. In particular, the Executive Board
unanimously decided to support the candidacy of Mr. Peter Kozmus from
Slovenia for Vice-President of Apimondia, as well as Germany’s
candidacy to host Apimondia 2029.
The discussions also provided an opportunity to reflect on the
progress made during the year, to prepare for EBA’s active role at the
upcoming Apimondia Congress, and to set priorities for the months
ahead.
A special focus was placed on the EBA Day at Apimondia, scheduled for
September 26, 2025, which will showcase the Association’s achievements
so far and, through constructive meetings that are planned, contribute
to strengthening cooperation with eminent international institutions,
organizations, and partners. As part of this event, the EBA leadership
will also host an informal meeting with representatives of prominent
European beekeeping organizations to discuss potential cooperation and
opportunities for future joint initiatives.
Through its proactive actions, the commitment of its leadership, and
the dedicated work of its Scientific Committees, EBA is becoming a
significant pillar and support to all beekeepers across Europe.
